Akshay Kumar feels Eid is big enough for two films
While the media is having a field day calling it a huge clash of titans, with both Akshay Kumar starrer Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai Again (OUATIMA) releasing on the same day as Shah Rukh Khan's Chennai Express, the star of the former doesn't seem too worried.
"I see this in a positive way. Eid is a big day. It is big enough for two films. There is no point in thinking too much over it," Akshay said at the first look of the film held Wednesday 29 May. Both films are expected over Eid – 9 August 2013.
The actor will be seen taking the character forward which was originally played by Emraan Hashmi in the prequel. Talking about comparisons, he said that there was no benchmark he was trying to cross.
"I am just playing my role. I havn't thought of it as a benchmark. I just listened to my director. I never thought that I had to cross any benchmark," he said.
Akshay also added thay the film was very different to all the one she had done in the past.
OUATIMA also stars Sonakshi Sinha and Imran Khan, while Chennai Express sees SRK with Deepika Padukone.
