Tamannaah bags Ramesh Taurani’s next with Akshay Kumar
South star Tamannaah will be seen with Akshay Kumar in her second film
Her debut film hasn’t even released, but looks like South Indian actress Tamannaah’s star is clearly on the rise. After starring opposite Ajay Devgn in her debut, rumour has it that her next film will see her with Akshay Kumar.
"Tamannaah is working with Akshay's close friend Sajid Khan and the promos of Himmatwala are already on air. After seeing the promos, Taurani and Akshay decided to cast her in the lead role," said a source to NDTV.
The film is directed by writers Sajid-Farhad who wrote blockbusters like Golmaal (2006), Singham (2011) and Bol Bachchan (2012).
"Akshay has given a go ahead to their script which is a mass entertainer," added the source.
Tamannaah’s Hindi debut film, a remake of the 80's hit Himmatwala will see her portray the role played by Sridevi in the original. Produced by UTV and directed by Sajid Khan Himmatwala releases on 29 March 2013.
