'White House Down': Trailer and more on Channing Tatum's next
With a plot that sounds suspiciously like this week's release Olympus Has Fallen, director Roland Emmerich returns to the genre he's best at: disaster movies.
The film is based on a 1998 short story Hell at the White House by Richard Matheson and stars Channing Tatum, Jamie Foxx and Maggie Gyllenhaal.
Its plot revolves around the takeover of the White House by a heavily armed parliamentary group and how it is up to a Capitol Policeman John Cale (Channing Tatum), a rejected applicant to the Secret Service, to rescue the President of the United States James Sawyer (Jamie Foxx), his daughter and the entire country.
It all looks like old fashioned, Hollywood patriotism, but I think the bets are on for this one to be one of the more entertaining films this summer. Check it out when it hits theatres 28 June 2013.
