Golden Globes Fashion Special — Silence is Golden

Silence may indeed be golden but the styling of the celebrities on the red carpet at this year's 71st Golden Globe Awards was anything but subdued. Sunday's event saw vivacious reds, iridescent champagne and creams through to more bold blacks and floral patterns with the occasional block of vibrant colour.  The fashion stylists came out all guns blazing to capture the eye (and camera flash bulbs) of the paparazzi with their outfit selections for some of Hollywood's hottest stars right now. We take a look at what outfits set up the fireworks, lit the fuse and blew the silence away!

For anyone who actually watched the awards ceremony, you will already know that its two outspoken (yet glamorous) hosts Tina Fey and Amy Poehler returned to ensure that silence was the last thing to fall upon the event. The two comediennes put on a fabulous show full of cheekiness and tease, mocking as many of the celebrities before them as they possibly could, in particular playboy Leonardo DiCaprio and eternal bachelor George ClooneyFey commented on the nomination for best film Gravity, stating that "its a story of how George Clooney would rather float away into space and die, than spend one more minute with a woman his own age."  The humorous ladies themselves had a number of wardrobe changes as expected for the hosts of such award ceremonies, ensuring to look flawless whilst delivering their barrage of jokes.  Let us take a cheeky look at the comedy duo and some of their styling...

Fashion stylists Karla Welch (Amy Poehler) and Cristina Ehrlich (Tina Fey) styled the two hosting comediennes in designers such as Carolina Herrera, Stella McCartney and Ted Baker.
