Chris Pine finds fame invasive
Best known for his role as James T. Kirk in the 2009 film Star Trek, which he will reprise in the sequel Star Trek Into Darkness), actor Chris Pine who's also starred in films like The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement (2004), Just My Luck (2006), Smokin' Aces (2007), Unstoppable (2010), and This Means War (2012), finds fame "invasive" and wishes people just concentrated on his work.
Pine told the Spring 2013 issue of C for Men: "I'm just waspy enough. A six-foot-tall white man, you kind of blend in, and that's fine with me. It helps (that) I don't really seek anything out. Hopefully, I put the vibe out of 'not looking for it (fame)'.
"I'm very clear about my relationship to 'it' and I don't like 'it'. I find 'it' very invasive, though I'm trying to welcome 'it' more in an effort to be more zen and not-angsty. But on the totem pole of people giving a s**t about me, I'm pretty much in the middle, which is great," he added.
