It’s a wrap for Madhuri-Juhi’s ‘Gulaab Gang’

Madhuri Dixit and Juhi Chawla, who were once considered cut throat rivals, will be seen together on screen for the first time

Gulaab Gang, a film based on a group of Indian women vigilantes and activists, and Madhuri Dixit’s comeback vehicle, has finally wrapped up and completed its shooting.

The film which sees Madhuri Dixit and Juhi Chawla together for the first time, sees Dixit play a role inspired by real life social activist Sampat Pal. Chawla plays a politician and will be seen in a role with negative shades

"It's a wrap! Pack up on the set of Gulaab Gang! Shooting is done. Can't believe it," Dixit tweeted earlier today (Monday 22 April).

"Gulaab Gang is about two iconic female characters. I couldn't have pulled off a better cast than the two most iconic female stars, Madhuri and Juhi, together for the first time on Indian screen. My film is an action and drama piece with two women at loggerheads. I needed actors who would justifiably match up to each other, both in terms of their performance and stature. I think, this is the best the film could get, because the subject material is so strong," producer Anubhav Sinha had said about the film’s casting last year.

Gulaab Gang is directed by Soumik Sen, and also features Mahie Gill in a key role.
