Priyanka Chopra's whopping fee for five minute dance number

PC's fee for a five minute dance number is on par with the amount she charges for an entire film

A little while ago we mentioned how Priyanka Chopra had given her consent to feature in an item number (titled 'Babli Badmaash Hai') in Sanjay Gupta’s Shootout at Wadala. We can now reveal that her fee for the same is in the region of Rs. 2.8 crore (£340,000 approx) for that five minute dance number, which is on par with the amount she charges for an entire film!

“She is in the midst of shooting for two films, Zanjeer and Gunday, but she still managed to find time for the song, since she was getting almost the same money she gets for a film,” said a source to Hindustan Times.

“It is all worth it, as this is going to be her first item song ever. It’s also going to be the song that launches the film’s promotion. The amount of time and money that has gone in making this song is because we wanted to make it big,”  added Tanuj Garg, chief executive officer at Balaji Telefilms, who are the producers of Shootout at Wadala.

“Now she has the relationship with Balaji as she is also doing Milan Talkies with us, which is going to start in September. This is an extension of the relationship,” concluded Garg.

Shootout at Wadala stars John Abraham, Anil Kapoor, Kangna Ranaut, Tusshar Kapoor and Sonu Sood. It releases on 1 May, whilst Milan Talkies features Chopra with Imran Khan for the first time. It rolls in September.
