<i>Satyagraha</i> novel to release alongside film
Usually films are made after a paperback is published and does well. In a first of sorts though, filmmaker Prakash Jha is planning to re-release the script of his film Satyagraha as a novel after its release because he feels it's so powerful.
"Prakash Jha and Anjum Rajabali have come up with a fantastic script called Satyagraha and the makers are of the opinion that the script should also be published as a book," said a source to NDTV.
"The script will be transformed into a novel which will be published post the release of the film. The story of the film is very powerful and will connect with the youth of the country," the source added.
The novel will be written by Jha and Rajabali, who co-wrote the film.
A political thriller directed by Prakash Jha, Satyagraha sees Amitabh Bachchan playing social activist Anna Hazare and also stars Ajay Devgn, Arjun Rampal, Kareena Kapoor, Manoj Bajpayee and Amrita Rao. It releases on 23 August 2013.
