Aamir Khan urged civilians to vote
Bollywood came out in full force to vote at the Mumbai elections 2014 earlier today, 24 April 2014.
Aamir Khan who came along with wife and director Kiran Rao to cast his ballot appealed to everyone to step out of their homes to fulfil their civic duty.
"It is a very important day today (April 24) and once again I appeal to every Indian to step out and go, vote. I have come along with my wife Kiran to cast our vote," said Aamir said after he cast his ballot.
"To every Indian I would like to say that it (voting) is a very important process in our democracy and every Indian should become a part of it. I believe that everyone will step out and vote," he added.
In Maharashtra, polling is being held today for 19 Lok Sabha seats.
