Varun Dhawan is single and will only do one film at a time

Taking a leaf out of Hrithik Roshan and Aamir Khan's books, Student of the Year hunk Varun Dhawan prefers to just focus on one film at a time. And while he's at it he would prefer being single too so as to avoid any distractions from his work.

"I am doing a film, energies are focused there. I am a firm believer in doing just one film at a time. I am new and should concentrate," said Dhawan to IANS.

Dhawan will next been seen in Main Tera Hero which will be helmed by dad David Dhawan.

And even though Student of the Year was a success, the actor doesn't take his success for granted.

"The response was overwhelming, so you can't take the audience's faith for granted. If it is there today, it can all go tomorrow. I need to reach a higher level in my next film," he said.

Dhawan was romantically linked to costar Alia Bhatt.

When probed about the rumour, Dhawan clarified: "I don't react to this. If it is a rumour, I don't read it. I try to clear it, but to be honest, I don't know how to clear it."

"I am happy being alone as a person. I wish I could tell people that please don't put me into relationships, especially these fake ones. People write what they want to...I am just going to leave it at that. I don't think it is to be fought," he said.

Apparently Sriram Raghavan has finalised him for his next venture, but Dhawan remained evasive: "I am keen to work with him. I don't want to comment as I am not on the production of the film. As and when something is finalised, I guess they will make the announcement."

Here's one lad who has his head screwed, knows his priorities and seems to know what he's doing.
