First Look & Theatrical Trailer: 'Ramleela'
Even though Sanjay Leela Bhansali hasn’t had a hit (as a director) in the longest time, his next venture Ramleela seems to have gotten the trade 'maha' excited. Especially because it features Deepika 'Midas' Padukone who's on a winning run after Cocktail, Race 2, Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani and Chennai Express, and her rumoured beau Ranveer Singh, who himself chipped in a pretty respectable performance in this year's Lootera.
In Ramleela, Ranveer plays Ram, a local village Romeo, who fights the world to be with his Leela (Deepika), yet stands by his clan at the cost of his own love.
Predominantly shot in Gujarat and featuring some steamy lovemaking scenes between the lead pair, this Sanjay Leela Bhansali production releases 15 November.
The trailer of the anticipated film was launched at an event in Mumbai earlier today (16 September 2013), and we have it for you right here.
First impressions? Spectacular. Bhansali has lit the frames with his trademark explosive colours and we have here something that looks very similar to Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam. Bhansali has a knack for presenting his heroines like never before, so unsurprisingly Deepika looks ethereal, and seems to have gone that extra mile with her performance too. And the chemistry between her and Ranveer is smoking hot.
