‘Gunday’ will now release in 2014
Earlier, the release of this Ranveer-Arjun-Priyanka starrer was scheduled for the fag end of this year, but presumably Yash Raj Films want to focus on their big ticket venture Dhoom:3, which is probably why they’ve now scheduled to release Gunday on Valentines Day 2014 instead.
The story is set in the 1970s, Kolkata's most unsettled times, and revolves around two inseparable friends - Bikram and Bala, small time, inconsequential wagon breakers and coal thieves, who become the biggest and most powerful black marketing mafia-men.
Incidentally Gunday is both Singh’s and Kapoor’s third film with Yash Raj Films after Band Baaja Baarat, Ladies Vs Ricky Bahl (Singh), Ishaqzaade and Aurangzeb (Kapoor).
An action-drama-cum-romance, Gunday is directed by Ali Abbas Zafar who earlier directed Mere Brother Ki Dulhan for the production house.
