Jurassic Park 4 director confirmed - no it's not Spielberg
Jurassic Park 4 will be directed by Colin Trevorrow and release in June 2014.
Ever since both Universal and director Steven Spielberg confirmed that Jurassic Park would get another sequel, excitement around it has been huge. We can now confirm that, Colin Trevorrow, the director of a comedy, Safety Not Guaranteed (2012) will direct Jurassic Park 4 (Empire Online).
Whether it lives up to expectations (neither Spielberg's The Lost World (1997) nor Joe Johnston's Jurassic Park 3 (2001) lived up to the first one - which remains a classic and still looks wow 20 years on), remains to be seen, but Trevorrow seems to have convinced the bosses at Universal, so we have to give him the benefit of the doubt.
Not much is known about Jurassic Park 4 except that it releases on 13 June 2014. Meanwhile, the first one will be back on our screens in August, this time in 3D.
