This just in. Bollywood divas Katrina Kaif, Priyanka Chopra and Deepika Padukone will perform during the opening ceremony of the Indian Premier League VI to be held at the Salt Lake Stadium in Kolkata on 2 April 2013.
The opening ceremony will be organised by Kolkata Knight Riders owner Shah Rukh Khan's firm Red Chillies Entertainment, said Sports Minister Madan Mitra to NDTV reporters in Kolkata earlier today (Tuesday 12 March).
“As of last night, its Jennifer Lopez…apart from her, we have our superstars… Deepika (Padukone) and Katrina (Kaif) will also be there,” said Juhi Chawla, the co-owner of Kolkata Knight Riders to The Telegraph.
Kolkata Knight Riders were the winners of last year's IPL.
The Indian Premier League (IPL) is a professional league for Twenty20 cricket championship in India. It has now been running for six seasons.
