Madhur Bhandarkar denies approaching Deepika for next venture
Madhur Bhandarkar who's renown for casting actresses as protagonists in his films (cases in point Tabu in Chandni Bar, Raveena Tandon in Satta, Konkona Sen Sharma in Page 3, Bipasha Basu in Corporate, Priyanka Chopra in Fashion and Kareena Kapoor in Heroine), was apparently in talks with girl of the season Deepika Padukone for a role in his upcoming film titled Calendar Girl. However the director has squashed the rumours insisting they're nothing but speculation.
Madhur has not approached Deepika for any film
"Just to set the record straight I am NOT making any film called Calendar Girl. So there's no question of approaching any actor or actress," Bhandarkar clarified via a post on Twitter.
"Currently I am busy scripting my next film. Casting will come later. When the time is right, I'll make an official announcement," he added.
Wonder if girl of the moment, Deepika would have obliged anyway, what with her hands full with Chennai Express and Ram Leela.
