Revealed: Priyanka Chopra as ‘Babli Badmaash’ in Shootout at Wadala
Balaji Telefilms have gone all out for their much touted item number featuring Priyanka Chopra aptly titled 'Babli Badmaash'. Apparently, no expense has been spared on both the song, her look and her remuneration which is almost the amount she charges for an entire film.
We now have the first look of the hyped song, a retro-tribute to the 80s, for you right here. Sung by Sunidhi Chauhan, the song has been composed by Anu Malik and word is that Chopra’s costume in the song (designed by Manish Malhotra) has LED lights fitted to it (and is sort of tribute to Amitabh Bachchan’s costume in 'Saara Zamaana' in Yaarana (1981)).
“Priyanka's first association with Balaji had to be special. We went through numerous tracks before finalising on what we all felt was a winner. Priyanka has taken it to a new level and will become synonymous with Babli. However, the most interesting and attractive feature of the song is the costume designed by Manish Malhotra. It's a tribute to Amitabh Bachchan's famous bulb outfit fromYaarana, with a modern twist. It's made of leather and rubber (reminiscent of Zeenat Aman's slinky gowns ) and has LED lights fitted to it, which accentuate Priyanka’s sexy curves," said producer Ekta Kapoor to Bombay Times.
“I had a blast shooting for it. I love the track and I am excited to work with Ekta, Sanjay, Ahmed, Anu Sir and the rest of the team," added Chopra.
