Sidharth Malhotra, on exploring his dark side for 'The Villain'
When you've been launched by a maverick director like Karan Johar, it's only natural to have the world as your oyster. Ask Sidharth Malhotra, who seems to have got the crème de la crème of upcoming projects and is fortunate enough to be in a position to pick and chose the films he wants to take on.
The actor who's just wrapped up his mentor's (Johar) home production Hasee Toh Phasee, with Parineeti Chopra, is looking forward to playing the antagonist in Mohit Suri's next, aptly titled The Villain.
"The film is over... we have just finished the whole film last week. So Hasee Toh Phasee is over. Now, I am ready to make people cry and get angry as The Villain starts soon," the 28-year-old said to IANS.
Hasee Toh Phasee is directed directed by Vinil Mathew, and is slated to release 7 February 2014.
Sidharth believes Suri can bring out his dark side.
"I am getting into a new role, I will have a different look which we will get into next week. So very excited to start working with Mohit Suri. He is the best guy to bring out the bad in me," he said.
The actor, who made his Bollywood debut with Student of the Year, is also looking forward to a makeover for the anticipated film.
"This look will change, we will try something new for The Villain. Mohit is known for styling his actors very well. He is very much into the look and different clothes. So, hopefully I will have a good character to play in The Villain," Sidharth said.
The Villain is an Ekta Kapoor production and also stars Shraddha Kapoor and Riteish Deshmukh.
