Sonakshi Sinha gung ho about Lootera
She's starred in some of the most successful films ever in her three year old career, but admittedly she hasn't had much to do in any of them. Sonakshi Sinha feels that that's about to change though, as in she's quite psyched about her next film Lootera.
“It was the most difficult shooting experience for me so far. In terms of my character, my look, my performance and the locations, everything had to be from an era I knew nothing about. There were times during the shoot when I would wake up and ask myself, ‘why am I doing this?’ But when Vikramaditya (Motwane) showed me the trailer and a few rushes from the film, I had my answer right there," said Sinha to Mid-Day.
Incidentally, Sinha was going to turn down Lootera altogether as she didn't feel she would be able to do justice to her character.
“Every struggle was worth it. I loved what I saw, and I can safely say this is probably my best performance so far. I felt like I was seeing another actress from another era. Vikram has transformed me," she added.
The first look of the film will be out this Friday (15 March), and sources say producers Balaji are going all out to hype it up as much as possible.
“The makers are leaving no stone unturned to make sure the first look of this period romance too looks as authentic as the actual 1970s as possible," said a source to Mid Day.
Lootera pairs Sinha with Ranveer Singh for the first time. It releases in July.
