Kareena to go de-glam for 'Satyagraha' promotions
It's an innovative way of promoting a film. Recently Sonam Kapoor was seen dressed in outfits similar to her characters in Raanjhanaa and Bhaag Milkha Bhaag. Vidya Balan has been doing it for a while too — right from dressing up in loud outlandish clothes for her parts in Ghanchakkar and The Dirty Picture to sporting a fake bump for her role in Kahaani, Vidya seems to have started a trend amongst actresses and it seems to be working. The latest to jump on the bandwagon is Bebo aka Kareena Kapoor who's busy promoting Prakash Jha's Satyagraha.
Kareena, who plays a political journalist in the film, will emulate her character in the movie and go de-glam during public appearances and promotions for the the same.

Kareena is usually seen in ultra-glamorous outfits in most of her films and public appearances but in Satyagraha, she will be seen sporting simple 'kurtas' and jeans in a role supposedly inspired by Barkha Dutt.
"She will remain in the character's look for the promotions, which will begin a month before the film hits the screens 30 August." said a source to IANS.
This will be different from usual promotional events where actresses put their best foot forward in terms of fashion at public and media events.
Satyagraha also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Ajay Devgn, Amrita Rao, Arjun Rampal and Manoj Bajpai and is said to be based on the Anna Hazare movement.
