Salman-Deepika confirmed for Kick
According to reports, Salman-Deepika will feature in Sajid Nadiadwala's Kick
Sajid Nadiadwala’s Kick is another film that’s been in the news for its casting woes. The producer has been keen to ‘kick’ off the project for a while now, but he couldn’t find a leading lady to star opposite Salman Khan, Meanwhile Khan too got busy with Ek Tha Tiger and Dabangg 2. Well Nadiadwala’s wait is finally over it seems, with reports now claiming that Deepika Padukone has pipped Priyanka Chopra and Ileana D’Cruz to the post and bagged the coveted project.
“Deepika Padukone is to romance Salman in ‘Kick’……looks like Priyanka’s close proximity with King Khan (Shah Rukh Khan) has made her lose the role,” said a source to Business Of Cinema.
“Everyone knows how close Priyanka is to Shah Rukh Khan. Salman would never dream of renewing his friendship with anyone who is close to Shah Rukh. She is close to Salman’s sisters. That’s why she’s seen visiting his home. I can tell you with certainty that there’s no project happening with Salman and Priyanka in the lead,” said as insider.
“Salman has repeatedly been saying how wonderful it would be to work with Deepika, and what a great pair they would make. Sajid Nadiadwala wants Salman’s leading lady in Kick to perform heavy duty martial arts and stunts. Deepika is perfect for the part,” concluded the source.
Apparently the actress was keen to work with Khan in a film for the longest time. If these rumours are true, than of all the leading ladies, Padukone has the most enviable line up of films.
Kick is all set to roll in June.
