Sanjay Dutt cameo scrapped from 'Ghanchakkar'
Sanjay Dutt who’s racing against time to finish work on his under-production films, before serving time, will no longer do a cameo in Raj Kumar’s Gupta’s Ghanchakkar, which features Emraan Hashmi and Vidya Balan in the lead.
"It is true that I have scrapped the scene that would have featured Sanjay Dutt in Ghanchakkar. The scene could have only been possible with him, but I realised that we cannot shoot it right now," Gupta said in a statement to IANS.
"Without him the scene did not make sense as it would have had Sanjay playing himself. It was a very situational scene. However, it won't be in my movie anymore," Gupta added.
Dutt was was sentenced to five years in jail for possessing weapons illegally during the 1993 Mumbai riots. The actor wanted six more months to surrender to complete his projects worth Rs.278 crore, but was granted just four weeks by the Supreme Court.
The actor’s upcoming projects include Policegiri, P.K., Unglee and the Zanjeer remake.
